Legacy of the Red Sails

After our impressive display, the tavern keep sits down with us. He tells us about the Red Sails, how they plundered and looted, their ships faster than any other. Ultimately though, the Crown annihilated them all at Devil's Basin.

Chen has taken a little trinket off the Traitor captain, a jewel shimmering with the colours of the ocean. It smells like sea breeze and hums with the rush of waves.

Before our very eyes, we see the waves part and vomit up the smuggler ship we thought lost at Devil's Basin. What treachery of nature is this? As we follow it, we can't help but wonder how in the Reaper's name did Chen knew about it.

We watch the Red Traitors' hangout go up in flames. Chen stands facing the flames, her blade sleek with blood, a grim smile on her face. The Black Swan has enacted justice.

Chen shows us the Red Traitors' logbook. It details the process of sailing through the sinkholes. Apparently, it requires something called a "Mermaid's Gift."

We fish out the surviving traitors and ferry them to shark infested waters. There, Chen watches quietly as each of them walks the plank, a look of grim satisfaction on her face as the waters turn red with blood.
